Once again, Reid Mihalko (reidaboutsex.com) and Cathy Vartuli (theintimacydojo.com) created and delivered an incredible experience for sex educators at Sex Geek Summer Camp (sexgeeksummercamp.com). This annual event takes place in the mountains of West Virginia where sex educators from around the world gather to learn new business strategies and network with others. Reid and Cathy over-deliver on this event every time. They’ve distilled thousands of dollars of marketing training into easy-to-understand-and-implement pieces targeted for those making a business out of sex education. Reid’s teaching style is so much fun and incredibly genuine at the same time.
Being a hypnotist, I get to be the odd-one at this event. The other attendees aren’t sure what to make of me and on the surface, hypnosis can be scary and misunderstood. Since this is the second year for me at this event, many are beginning to warm up to what I do. I even had the chance to do three sessions with different people and demystify hypnosis for them. When introducing the idea of hypnosis and trance to a new group, I follow my first law of hypnosis – Don’t Be Creepy. And once someone is brave enough to try it (and admit it!), it becomes a curiosity that inspires others to take the plunge to see what it’s like.
